Peace One Day
Peace One Day is a growing non-profit organization, impartial and independent of any government, political persuasion, corporation or religious creed. The organization's objectives include: 1) To raise global awareness of Peace Day (Sept. 21) annually; 2) To engage all sectors of society, including governments, organisations of the United Nations system, regional and non-governmental organisations and individuals, in observance of Sept. 21 through the practical manifestation of non-violence and ceasefire in accordance with UN GA Resolution 55/282; and 3) To encourage all sectors of society to take action on Peace Day that creates a sustainable world.
